I know I said I would be bringing you a list of local vintage inspired events, but I have to include great live music into that mix. wheres all the vintage nights out at?

So we had a lovely chat with a customer the other day about the lack of vintage inspired events in bournemouth. So in light of this, we are now going to list everything we know of on both here and our blog. So all you cool cats wanting a great night out that doesn't involve dubstep, and lets you get your best vintage outfit on and strut your stuff!

Here's our first pick of next month;

 SWING FOR VICTORY

Some great guys at AUCB in bournemouth are putting on a 1940's inspired event, where you will be able to dance the night away to a live swing band, watch burlesque dancers strut their stuff,a 1940s market with vintage clothes stalls, a 1940s hair salon, nostalgic cinema, "Making Memories" photo-booth, "Anti-ration" tuck-shop and 40s recipe cakes, as well as wandering theatre and our own ukulele player. PLUS if you have never swing danced before or want to brush up your skills, there are FREE dance lessons on mondays at AUCB at 5.30, and a lesson on the night of the event! We are going to be there selling choice vintage pieces and dancing our ass off, so we think you should be there too!

So spring is finally creeping in, as with everyone we have been getting very bored of rain and cold weather! But as we are sure you have all noticed, sunshine is creeping back! WOOP! In light of this, we are pleased to announce that we will soon be listing clothing to buy online, as the last few weeks have been spent hand picking some lovely new spring summer vintage goodies for your delights! So every month our lovely friends SixtyMillionPostcards in Bournemouth, let us put on a night to celebrate everything vintage. Our chance to play all the great classic music we love and give people an excuse to don their best vintage garments, and dance like their parents used to! Come along and check it out, it's free!

So all these people have blogs these days, we are new to all this! Unsurprisingly technology scares us a little, as I (owner Stuart Alexander) spend to much time around vintage equipment and vinyl, but I will give it my best shot to make this interesting!
